Chasing a Vision, Finding Myself
The sun bleeds gold and fuchsia over the Hollywood Hills, and I’m watching it from my balcony at the Château Marmont. Below, the city pulses with a familiar, electric hum—a symphony of ambition, traffic, and the silent, desperate hopes of everyone who comes here. It's the perfect backdrop for this chapter of my life, a surreal and glamorous bubble where I'm trying to birth a TV series about the art world into existence.
This place is a beautiful kind of chaos. Earlier, I saw Yay—Kanye West—pacing by the pool, a whirlwind of creative energy in a world that’s already spinning too fast. It's a reminder of the kind of singular vision it takes to make something truly great. But for every one of those moments, there's another meeting. A dozen of them. Meetings about meetings, about potential meetings. Everyone is nice, everyone is "so excited," but the needle never seems to move. It’s a dance of polite interest, and I'm ready to run through it and just get to the point. I’m eager to make a deal, to turn this dream into a tangible reality.
But as much as I want to push this project forward, there's another, quieter force pulling at me. A very different kind of meeting is looming on my horizon—one with myself. A hard life decision is hanging over my head, a crossroads I know I need to face head-on. So, in just a few days, I'm trading the Chateau’s velvet couches and whispered promises for a seven-day silent yoga meditation retreat in Maui.
It might seem like a jarring shift—from the heart of Hollywood's hustle to the serene, silent beaches of Hawaii. But that's exactly the point. I need to strip away the noise, the expectations, the endless stream of opinions and opportunities. I need to go inward to find the truth, to listen to what my intuition is telling me to do next. This isn't just about making a show; it’s about making a life.
This is a time of transition, a leap of faith. The world is watching, waiting, and so am I. Jerry Goin 2.0 is coming, whatever that looks like. I'm ready to find out.
