Letter From the Editor
Dear Reader,
In this incredibly special issue, I want to share a bit about who I am and how I found my voice in art. My journey has been non-linear and often very difficult; nevertheless, I wake up every day filled with a renewed sense of hope and the question, "What do I get to make today?"
I must warn you that my story contains nondescript allusions to child abuse, poverty, and illness. Some may find some parts of my story hard to grasp as you sip your Monday morning cup of coffee. If this type of content is triggering or disturbing please feel free to skip the rest of this email. I do not go into any graphic detail, but as a survivor, I know how challenging it can be to read other people's biographies.
As you know, there is a happy continuation in all of this, so if there is one word I'd like you to take away, it is "hope." Please join me on this journey, and thank you for taking the time to read it.
Yours in perpetual pursuit of art,
Hilde Lynn Editor in Chief, The Jerry Report
